To whom it concerns:

Sadly, despite going to the Death Shelter/Dog pound Balotesti, Otopeni, Bucharest, six days in a row now, nobody is able to take out any more dogs.

Dogcatcher Ionut Pantazi how do you sleep at night?

Renting land at the Institute of Technology, building a scummy shelter and entering into a contract with the local county hall. It is likely that this man receives LEI 200 per dog per month from the county hall to run this disgusting place, making almost £3,000 a month from these poor, abused, starving and dying dogs!

Running this place as a private/ public shelter means that around 750kg of food has to be stored - just in case the DSV come to inspect - whilst the poor dogs had stale frozen rolls of bread thrown at them a long time ago.
No pallets, no straw, no kennels, and the dogs outside had no shelter from the snows to huge holes in the kennel roof - and temperatures are in the minus 20's.
The dogs are huddled together because there is no fat for warmth, and they are literally freezing to death.

The dogs clearly have severe skin problems from lying on frozen wee and poop - and poeple saw many who could not actually sit down they were in so much pain, whilst all the time Ionut drives around in a nice jeep, or maybe his shiny new Audi A5.
Telling people he cares about dogs possibly refers to breeding Dogo Argentino's? or using them for fighting? Clearly he does not care about the 72 dogs at the shelter.

After finding a white Dogo Argentino dying in the snow outside the shelter last week, people were sickened to their stomachs at the sights inside. Really sickened, being in hell!

Initially, people were allowed inside, allowed to feed the dogs - which was done. Allowed to take the puppies and the sickest dogs - which was done - in the hope he wasn't allowing people to take unregistered dogs without any papers? An inventory of every single dog in every single cage, photos, videos, was made, and the promise was given to be able to come back at any time to feed and adopt the dogs.

Ionut changed his 'policy', because that way he was 'loosing money....'.   Refusing help and entry, when people came back with another 40 bags of food, cages and vans!
Only the workers hurriedly cleaning up blood, snow and ice - just in case of an inspection!   And this time, this Ionut was waiting at the gates with the police.
Now he doesn't like English people any more - perhaps because they don't walk on by?

Every day since last Friday many people have been there to adopt - of course opening hours between 8 and 10am put many locals off adopting. People have taken ID and papers, yet no one from the shelter has shown up!

As a private/ public 'shelter', people can go to adopt and every Romanian in Bucharest is urged to go and adopt a dog.

The DSV needs to close this horrible dog -pound down - cruel neglect and lack of care is everywhere - the dogs have not been fed, and are eating each other. There is pooh and blood in every single cage along with skeletons of dogs, sad eyes - given up.

Please close this hell hole, release the dogs into the care of rescuers and volunteers, and have this person, Ionet Pantazi, criminally prosecuted!
